road trip: NYC to Chicago

Going on a road trip next week to see a free show by Death Cab in Chicago.

So far me and my buddy plan to stop by Pittsburgh to have a Primantibros sandwich, spend the evening with a friend in Columbus, and will spend 2 days in Chicago.

What would YOU do if you were in Chicago?

Other than stopping for a sandwich, do you really have a need to go to Pitt? If not, I personally wouldn't bother stopping if you're only going to be in Chicago for 2 days. I did this trip three months ago and you can easily get to Chicago in one day without stopping to spend the night. I spent 3 days in Chicago, and although it was worth the trip, you definitely feel the toll on your body as you really never rest enough after the long drive. If I had a choice between spending 4 days in Chicago or spending a night in between and splitting up the drive, I'd definitely take the extra day.

Hmm pretty much set on staying the night in Columbus but will get to Chicago early in the morning. I do hear that Pittsburgh is nothing special, but then I've rarely traveled so I figured what the heck.
