Road Test: 2003 Honda Pilot

*Bush Sr voice* Pilot? Not gonna do it... wouldn't be prudent.

Seems too effeminate a "car"... too minivan-like.

😀
Cool, like the Mini Cooper S myself. Alas, there are no dealerships close around here and im too lazy to drive down anywhere just to look. Then again, I would worry about having someone in the back seats of that car....if anything hits the rear, they are gone.

weren't you looking at buying one of these recently Brandon?

If Brandon were a GOOD SON, he would have talked his father into ditching the Highlander and buying a pimp'd out Pilot already but NOOOOOOOOOOOO ...

😀

Bah, if anything he'd be pimpin' a '03 4-Runner with the 4.7L V8 which would totally own the Pilot 😀

But I'm sure the comforts/cargo space of the Pilot would better suit his needs rather than the better off road capable 4Runner with it's up/downhill traction control gadgets.

You have just been owned AGAIN!

Not when the Pilot has a waiting list 3-4 months long and dealer markups of about $2,000 - $3,000. Also, the 4-Runner rides very smoothly even comparable to the Highlander (but not quite as plush). Also, he could get a better deal at the Toyota place with his Highlander as a trade in.

OWNAGE!!! 😀

I wouldn't necessarily rate your last post as OWNAGE level - let's just say that we're even!

(but secretly we all know that the impossible has happened, Brandon has been owned!!!)

:Q

Family just purchased two Pilots in the past month - parents bought one and one of my uncles bought one. No waiting list for them, they just walked right in and got it. Did pay a little over sticker, though I don't think it was more than 1k. They managed to shop around and get the dealers in the area to undercut each other a bit. I drove my mom's Pilot around when I went to visit her last week - I'm not a big fan of SUVs in general but it's pretty nice for what it is.

Oh yeah. Brandon - FYI. My dealer has been selling Pilot's for several months now. No waiting list.

I dont know if American Honda made an Automatic Dealer Markup, but knowing the dealer they probably wouldnt take less than sticker.

Owned by what? I saw no ownage. Why would my dad buy a Pilot (or even a 4-Runner for that matter) when his Highlander Limited only has 8,700 miles on it and is just over a year old?

Ownage, I think not 😀

No no no no... if you are a "GOOD SON" you will tell him to hold off till that revised version of the 4.7 comes out first 😉 current version is booty 😉
