Anyone have opinions on Road Runner high speed?
I was thinking of getting it so any thoughts would be much appreciated.

Thanks, Andy

i have road runner and its sweet!!!!!!!!! its really fast up and down and where i am anyway there is no slowdown at "peak" hours. tech upport is good and overall i think its good

The service here in Houston is great. Like TheEvil1, I experience no slow down at all. That seems to be more of a DSL marketing tool. 😉 The last time I ran a speed test over at DSLReports, it was like 1975 down and 375 up.

No problems in Austin, TX. Very fast (2400+ download). After using DSL more than
one year, I believe that people choose DSL for three reasons:

1-No cable service.
2-When DSL is cheaper.
3-False advertisements (like from SWbell) which says cable may be slower
when shared. I have a lot of friends with cable and no one has this sharing
problems. And my cable is 2.5 times faster than my previous DSL.

Yep, service in Columbus, Ohio is great. I have had it for 5 years... no complaints 🙂 It is much faster than my brothers DSL connection

using it in NYC, its really quick in my neighborhood (dslreports.com shows a 2mb download) and only experienced 3 outages in past 2 yrs.

check www.dslreports.com for user reviews of broadband access in various area's

RR could be great in my area but suck in yours, broadband is funny like that. DSLreports is a great way to see how many people are bitchin about access problems in your area.

I just got road runner and it is fing amazing. Way better than the phone companies since they require a login and way better than the other cable companies broadband. Simply the best money can buy!

Love it 2500+ download speeds. Get a router with firewall protection though. You can find good one by SMC, Netgear, Linksys, etc... for abouot $50.

like the other guy said, its faster as heck here in austin. a month ago i was experiencing some issues with it but it seems those cleared up.
