Exactly. How many times have we bitten off the head of an animal cracker going up? Have we done that to any (real) animals since? 😀

It's legal to eat your road kill in some states. Forgot who passed that law... Yeah, we needed a law for that.

Theres a reason for that, without it, it would be illegal to process an animal(say a deer) that you hit, without committing a felony.

They just passed that law here in TN a few years back.

If I were an animal rights activist, wouldn't my time be better spent trying to reduce the rate of REAL animals getting run over?

Exactly what I was thinking--even though I loathe PETA.

I guess they'd like it better if we didn't eat candy shaped like dead animals.

Maybe they'd rather we eat a hamburger (made of ground up cows) instead.

Idiots.

It's wrong to eat candy that looks like animals because it sends a bad message to children, that it's OK to kill animals. However it's 100% OK to eat REAL animals, because that gives children vital nutrients.

Please, think of the children.

I used to hate to eat animal crackers, because I would think I was actually eating the arms and legs off of them 🙁

Yeah, I couldn't bring it upon myself to eat animal crackers today, because I felt sorry for the poor cow that I was symbolicly killing. Besides, I was full from the delicious steak that I had last night.

Kids like gross things and in an already crowded candy market I think Kraft came up with an interesting concept. I do NOT, however, feel kids will associate eating road kill candy with growing up and killing animals for fun unless they are already screwed up enough to do that to begin with.

I'm just intrigued by the fact that these animal rights nuts would protest the eating of a non-meat product that looked like a real animal that was killed by accident, while many of them eat meat products made from animals that were killed on purpose.

There is just no logic in their minds, they are acting upon pure emotion. At what point can we just say "Look, you're a deranged moron and I don't really care about what you have to say"?

I think you have a legitimate point there.

The last time I had some animal crackers I looked through the whole box first, then had to throw them out. The box said "Do not eat if seal is broken".

Personally I think it's a stupid idea on Kraft's part. Why not just make human suicide candies.

Splattered Bob Johnson - Shot himself in the head. Cherry Flavored.

I would buy that!!!
