I don't know if you've noticed, but roaches tend to crap everywhere they walk. Unless you actually like your toast seasoned with essence of roasted roach poop, I'd hold off on the toasting.

one time I found a roach in my apartment (1st apartment in college, so you can imagine) so I hooked it up to an old phone voltage generator (you know the old crank phones, well that crank was an electrical generator) and the freaking cockroach started smoking and let me tell you.. Smoked cockroach is worse than live one. I could not get that damn smell out of my apartment for like weeks.

Toss toaster or give it to the goodwill if you feel bad tossing out a perfectly good toaster.

Get rid of the damn toaster and move to a high plains desert where they are less prevelent. I have never had roaches in Denver, but I have a mouse named pauly and a spider named vincent (not pets, just wandering).

I can't believe nobody has replied this yet:

It came OUT of your toaster? That's means it probably had a reason to be in there. Eliminate that reason.

Duct tape over the top of that toaster and if you're lucky, it has eggs in there. Set the toaster to DARK and turn that thing on. Make it thing about climbing in your toaster again. Then throw it out. Hopefully the heat will kill anything if it's in there and then you won't have the possibility of throwing it out, roaches getting in your garbage, and then spreading even more.

Just saw one, eh? I got called out to fix a friend of a freind's computer. Got there, went inside, and the air hung with the stench of roaches...........and not the smoking kind either. Black roach droppings were everywhere. Behind the computer the wall seemed to move and I noticed a pair of German roaches tangoing on the wall. I then looked up and saw several that were hoofing it across the ceiling. Then one crawled out of the floppy drive slot. I made an excuse and a hasty exit.

Still cannot get those images of roaches everywhere in that house and the occupants were totally oblivious to them. Makes my skin crawl. The friend had no idea the household was so nasty..........doesn't seem like that from the outside.

I agree! But they do prefer dirty areas.

ummm, yes, Tree Roaches (mainly in the south) will fly on occasion. I moved in a brand new house a few years ago. One morning, I heard a flutter and next thing I know a fricking tree roach landed on my arm. Needless to say I sh!t a brick and flailed my arms like a lunatic. Scariest momemt of my life, EVAR! Keep in mind, this was a brand new, clean house too.

Don't know where I heard it, but several times I heard for every roach you actually see, there are thousands more crawling around under your house. Sleep tight.
