Can I RMA my laptop if it has warez on the hard drive? Will I get in trouble?

Yes, they may report you unless you format the C: drive before sending it in.

Would they let you remove the HDD and just send in the rest of the computer - and they'd send you a new one, minus HDD? What's wrong with it?

No, you can't do that. You'll probably have to Low-Level Format your hard drive.

Better bust out the system restoration disk 🙂 Install the fresh, nonpirated os 😉

Really though, I doubt the lappy makers have that much time on their hands to go and bust every person who has some pirated stuff. I mean they could bust just about anyone if they wanted to do that!
