Stupid 8800GT lockup issues...

Uggh, so I live in MA and MSI is in CA. Thats 5 days by UPS ground to get to them, then another "10-14 business days" to process the RMA. Then another 5 days UPS ground to get back to me....

Anyone else think the RMA process sucks? almost a month with no Vid Card? Ridiculous....

PS - What are the odds that they'll:

A) give me my same card back without fixing it but say it works for them
B) give me a new card
C) give me the market value of my card
D) break my card up and eat it with dip claiming it was lost in shipment

That's not unusual for tech RMA times, and you can't really blame them that they are on the opposite coast from you.

This here.
It's a similar (or longer) wait time.... and you have to PAY and RMA fee.

5 days via UPS is pretty damn good I work the CA to MA lane at a transportation for fresh produce... teams get it there in 4 days. Solos 5.5 days...

On the MSI vs. Sapphire, I sent 1 mobo back 2x and got a replacement on the 2nd time... the replacement was bad... I sent it back... another replacement came... still bad!!! Now I'm on an ASUS mobo 4th one I've owned...

Anyways, it took 1 day to get there and 1 day for them to repair/replace and 1 day back so it was 3 days and it's only 34 miles from my house. Regardless they failed to fix my mobo or give me a working one, after the 3rd one not working, I'm not likely to go back to MSI for anything.

A) 85%
B) 5%
C) 0%
D) 10%

Doesn't look too good for you.

It's about 3,040 miles from MSI in CA to the center of MA (Hatfield, MA)... 3,120 to Boston, go figure.
