I have two abit KA7-100 mobo's that have recently up and died on me. They are about a year old. With both boards I turned on my PC one day and they just would not boot...no beeps, no video, just dead!
Anyway, does anyone know if these could be RMA'd to Abit since they are so old? If so how do you do this? Their site has nothing about RMA that I can find.

Thanks

I would try to call them and get them to give you an RMA number to send the boards if they are still under warranty, They should be able to tell by the ser. # on the boards. I have dealt with them on the phone and there cust service was eager to be helpful.Get the Phone # off there website and give them a call, cant hurt. :)

Right from the horses mouth:

Return Merchandise Authorization Policy:

You need to contact your vendor for any exchanges or returns
If your warranty with your vendor expired, then you contact us for RMA.

The motherboard has two years manufacturing warranty from the date of manufacture.

The date of manufacture is encoded in the serial number.

Removal or modification of serial number voids the manufacture warranty.

Serial number is located on the bar-code sticker on the motherboard.

Any physical damage voids the warranty.

We charge a $25.00 for Shipping and handling. Labor and part are no charge.

Before you send the board back you need to call us to obtain the RMA number.

No return will be accepted without a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA#) Number.

The turn around time will be 2 to 4 weeks on average.

IMPORTANT!!

WHEN YOU SEND THE MOTHERBOARD BACK TO US, PLEASE ?DO NOT? INCLUDE YOUR CPU AND MEMORY.

For returning please call: 510-623-0500

Please return the completed RMA form to:

rma@abit-usa.com

Thank you very much.
Sincerely,
Jeff Wong
