RMA Question

First of all sorry for the location of the post just didn?t know where to put it, a other category would be nice.

Ok here is my problem. I bought several parts of my computer through Newegg, unfortunately the mobo And the 3.0e arrived defective. Now here is the problem, I live oversea so what I did was shipp the order to a family of mine in Miami, then they sent it through mail to my location. Now I want to RMA the Mobo and Processor back, I First requested an RMA to see if it actually worked, but I couldn?t make the 14-day dateline due to my location. So I e-mailed customer service requesting that they canceled the RMA so I would be able to reguest a new one, they replied that they would extend the original one by 7 days, still a problem to me, b/c I cant make that dateline.

2 Questions

- The fact of a reshipment overseas void the RMA in anyway?
- Should I request another RMA and forget the original one, or is it better to extend the original one more b/c of greater chances of acceptance?

Thanks as always to the AnandTech Community

Why can't you just ship it to Miami first and then request the RMA from Newegg. Sending from Miami to California shouldn't take more than a week.

If you think resending the item overseas will void the RMA, then don't tell them that. For all they know, it came from Miami.

Thanks for that, in refrence to my other question.. Should i extend the original RMA, or get a new one? Does the time between Purchase and Rma influence in any way there Acceptance?
