RMA Problem...

Hi guys,

I've got a problem and need some advice.

An MSI motherboard I bought recently developed a fault and my PC stopped POSTing, I cleared the CMOS and tested all the components and in the end came to the conclusion that it was the MOBO.

So I replaced the MOBO with a different one and lo-and-behold my PC worked fine again!

I returned the MOBO back to the retailer and today they have sent it back to me saying there is nothing wrong with it... here is my problem. It is my word against theirs! What can I do. I bought it online so I can't afford to keep shipping it to them.

I was thinking of taking the MOBO to PC World to see if they could do some sort of testing, so I can produce some sort of paper-work to show it has been independently verified as faulty.

Anyone else had a similar problem? Any suggestions on how to resolve it?

Thanks.

if that doesn't work, how long ago did you buy the mobo. Was it with credit card, can they help you out?

Thanks for the replies guys.

I bought it in January... so not sure if my credit card company can help. I will try contacting MSI to see what they have to say.

Thanks again.

Suggest that this is quickest recourse.....

Just contact them and don't get hung up on purchase dates, receipts etc...
You probably will have to pay to ship it them

Probably won't matter to you, as I am in the UK... overclockers.co.uk :disgust:

They won't even answer the Technical Support phone line!
