Trying to avoid being an unreasonable customer...
I need to RMA a motherboard. It's almost certain that I will get a replacement that is a step up. Issue being I can't afford new parts right away (CPU/RAM etc) for a new gen mobo.
So far the answer has been no, but what prevents EVGA from sending back the old board after the RMA is done? If I get the old board back I can attempt a repair without voiding warranty (pretty sure its a capacitor). That way I have a working computer in the meanwhile.
Are they concerned I'll sell it? It's a 775 board... Anyone familiar with the industry know why they'd be reluctant to send the old board back with the replacement after the RMA is verified and completed?
