SyFy is trying yet again to make a good Riverworld. Based on the hugely popular Riverworld books by Philip José Farmer.

This one seems to be a much better attempt. Its 4 hours long. Yes, all 4 hours on one night.
It stars Tahmoh Penikett (Helo from BSG) and Laura Vandervoort (Lisa from V)

The previews make it look like they actually tell much more of the story, unlike the other Riverworlds.

I'm really hoping for a good movie about Riverworld, which is a great series of books, but has had some awful movies made of it.
 
meh...I'd like to see a well-made movie about Larry Niven's Ringworld...or AC Clarke's Rendevous with Rama.
 
Hope it's good. I read the whole series for a class senior year. One movie 4 hours long seems a little odd though... there might be too much missing.
