Rivers Cuomo, please stop.

I'm sorry, but the guy is so....I do not even know the word for it (I want to say self absorbed, but I do not think that is the right phrase). He wants to release the sixith album as the "red" album. Yup, another album that is self titled. I guess he cannot get over the fact that he will never again be the recluse that made the blue album.

edit:
guy from weezer

edit:

They just released their new single on the radio this week end: "Pork and Beans". What major suckage. He's trying to relive the Blue Album. As I asked earlier, Mr. Cuomo, will you please stop?

Pull this string as I walk a-way!

On topic, I really hope this album isn't like the last one, Make Believe. Or like Maladroit. The music wasn't too bad in the last two but the lyrics were just complete shit. Really fucking terrible. I like Blue, Green, and Pinkerton albums quite a bit though.

Has anyone heard Rivers' solo album? I was thinking about checking it out.

The sweater song is the song my wife and first did the "deed" to 🙂

i still think taht the blue album was their best album, green was ok, then the rest were crap.

it's really too bad, they could have been a really good band.

I heard part of it. Man....it's like a lonley guy in a basement who needs to get some. I swear....Weezer is what happens if a band like Oasis stopped doing drugs (Oasis say they are clean, but there is no way.....but hey, they both made 2 good first albums and then went into a trip of suck). To make matters even worse, his lysics on his past albums actually kind of seem like he is indeed a virgin. I swear, all he does is just stand infront of a piece of paper with a rhyming dictionary.

Leave Rivers alone! *cries* Don't listen to the haters buddy. If you want to write more songs about girls who ignored you, go for it, I'll be listening.

every single weezer song sounds like the last one.

They are more formulamatic (is that even a word?) than Greenday. Atleast they mix it up a little. After Pinkerton, they just started making carbon copies of all their songs.

formulaic is the word youre searching for.

I just learned that a guy I know named his daughter (middle name) after Rivers. (River being her middle name). True story.

Dang, I like Weezer, they made some great songs. Unmentioned so far this thread are Island In The Sun and Hashpipe. They are both on my long run playlist.

I think the only Weezer song I somewhat like is "buddy holly", and then only sometimes.

alright, knock down drag out isn't too shabby either.

WTF difference is it of your's what he wants to name an album?

You've obviously made up your mind that they will never release anything you'll like any more, so why don't you get over it and get on your merry way?

BEVERLY HILLS!! ?
THAT'S WHERE I WANT TO BEEE!
?

I got the Blue and Green albums, but the Green one made decide not to buy anymore until they improve.
There's nothing wrong with revisiting your past "masterpieces". Most times the whole "artistic progression" thing is foolish and overrated. Stick with what works. No need to suck just to be different.

Haven't heard "Pork & Beans" yet. Don't listen to the radio too much.

I'm usually in the minority on this one but Pinkerton is the one I always liked best. Not nearly as popular sales wise, but I always could just hit play and let it go... loved it.
