Rivers better step it up!

He wasn't my #1, my RB's were, but he was supposed to be sooo good this year. Touted as #1 ranked and so forth. He's failing miserably...
 
meh, I have him in one of my leagues. It's one week. I'm not going to worry too much.

Oakland is beating the piss out of the Chargers though.

My better judgement tells me that Rivers was a 3rd - 4th rd pick. Pre Week#1 I would have ranked him behind Brees, Brady, P. Manning, Rodgers, and McNabb.

Regardless...give him a few weeks before jumping to any conclusions. The raiders live to beat the chargers. Because of the rivalries, I see this game being very similar to GB/CHI last night (except that Cutler has MUCH more to prove, being new to CHI). Same goes for the east-coast rivalry in the first half of BUF/NE tonight...Brady looked like crap, but we all know he's better than that (although definitely still not 100% recovered).

so, I'm totally gay for Rivers and everything....but no way in hell I'd take him earlier than 3rd round. (I was stuck with Romo in the 3rd round this year b/c my buddy, another NCstater, had the pick just ahead of me.... 🙁)

shit, He'd be my top QB pick no doubt, but that's only b/c I'm insane. Sure, he carried my teams to 2 consecutive championship games (1 trophy), but that's a retarded 1st round waste of a pick.

One thing I've learned about Rivers, he makes you think from week to week. He can be so inconsistent. Even a bad first half, though, can be compensated for a stellar 4th quarter.

but that's how he's always played.

Yeah, I mean he's the QB on my fuck-around team. I drafted Moss, Jennings, Owens, LT, and Crayton. He was my 6th or 7th round pick. I expect to score either 300 pts or <100 pts in any given week. It's gonna be fun 🙂
 
ugh.. I HATE AJ Smith. He should have NEVER mucked w/ the friggin coaching staff. Norv Turner? REALLY? WTF? Chargers' loaded talent and decent O-line is being handled by fucking schoolgirls. what a WASTE. :roll: :roll: :roll:
 
Well, in the end he helped get it done. It was a horrible game in the first three quarters for the Chargers offense, but they got the win and hopefully they can find their groove next week.
 
all Sproles, all Rivers. See, on that last drive, Rivers just let his offense glide w/o effing Nerve Suckner. Ugh.. fire that coach already sheesh. And thanks AT and friends for giving me play by play while I'm out @ sea! and NFL gamecasts which never updates fast enough out here 🙁.

 
So is LT a choke job or just scared under pressure. how many games now has he been on the sidelines in critical moments?
