Rivatuner question

Would it help to control my video card fan speeds with riva tuner even if I have the accelero s1 with the turbo cooling module? Basically the fan plugs into my motherboard and isn't actually connected to the video card. Is it still possible to use Rivatuner to control it?

Second question, is it worth overclocking an HD 4870 from stock or are the returns minimal? Thanks.

Does your motherboard not let you control the speeds of fans attached to the fan headers? I use the ASUS Fan Xpert (or whatever it's called) if I need to mess around with the case fans on my s1.

Edit: Weren't you the one who was looking into modding their Turbo Cooling Module to get it to plug into the video card's fan header?

No, that wasn't me. I will try to use my motherboard settings. Not really sure which header its on though.
