I'll have to agree on that.

i must of been missing soomething. I think SC is a great game, but not that complex. Very well balanced. I think the hydra drop is the top strategy...but I always enjoyed the wrath of the wraith.

Rise of Nations does sound pretty good.

The micromangement is very-well managed if you use hotkeys and group well.

And I don't think fighter planes are supposed to be taking out tanks. That's what the attack helicopters are used for. When was the last time you saw an F16 with Hellfire missiles on it?

It is very complex. So very complex... There are so many ways to counter that because of the time it takes to research the ability to hold theh ydras and the ability to move quickly. Stimmed marines with some medics would destroy the hydra dropped because of the sequential dropping. Each one that comes out dies.

Don't even get me started on the complexity of starcraft.

Another thing I like about the game is that infantry are actually useful. In the original AoE and then AoK, infantry were basically worthless, only useful towards the end-game when resources were running try. Of course, pikemen were useful, but the general-purpose infantry were so easily overpowered by cavalry. In RoN, the general-purpose infantry kick some serious ass. Especially earlier in the game circa Enlightenment age

I know what you mean. I usually don't even bother with any vehicles anymore. Only infantry and bombers.

I was addicted to this all summer. I've since kicked the habit, so if anybody would like to buy my copy, let me know. 🙂
