Ripping game music

Does anyone know any utilities that can read the music files that programmers put into games? Specifically, I am looking for a program that can rip the music from my diablo 2 expansion pak and medal of honor. I own both games, so I don't think it would be illegal (would it?) but I really want to get the music from the games. They always seem to put the music files in some strange custom file extension that only the game can read. Any help? also, I would not mind being able to rip from Serious sam as well. thanks

have you looked around in the game directory? They may already have the files sitting there for you. I seem to remember seeing them for some other games like that, but i don't know about those.

yah, I all ready checked the game directory. I can always download songs from audiogalaxy or kazaa, but I prefer to get the songs in better bitrate direct from my own copy. I tried looking for the files and just changing extenstions, but no luck so far.

Yeah...used to be a time when all the music was in a directory laid out for you...just waiting for you to rip it 😉
