Ripping Audio From DVD/CD

Quick question. I am ripping audio from a DVD and I am not too sure what the audio settings should be in the program for good, clean audio sounds.

Bit Rate?
Sample Rate?
Channels?

depends... could be 96KHz, 24-bit, god knows how many channels.

Are you extracting audio from an MPEG stream or are you trying to rip a DVD-A disc?
