Yes the real "Ultimate Warrior" -the original one- died a long time ago.

It's not my fault that you're clinging to WWF being so real that you refuse to believe that they substituted actors to continue the character going just to make money off of people like you who still think it's real. LOL

IT'S STILL REAL TO ME, DAMMIT

You believe everything you heard as a kid don't you?

The first Ultimate Warrior died a long ass time ago. He was responsible for making the character famous (the crazy guy). The dude who died the other day took up the mantle of being Ultimate Warrior after the first guy's death and played the character longer than the original actor did.

When did this board turn into alt.sports.prowrestling.wwf circa 1997? Do you also believe that wrestling is "real"?

turned? he was always a nut case. some of his promos were just insane.

"snarff I come from the 5th planet from teh great sun in the ...system! snarff..I have come to challange the greatest warriors for supremacy "snarff" teh god moomoo directed me to the WWF to drive Hogan into the ground "snarf"

and on and on....the guy was insane.

i know, that's why the guy was awesome, but it was all in character and in those days you NEVER saw a wrestler out of character. then he quit wrestling, changed his name, and started speaking at conservative right wing conventions, that's when he went insane from my point of view.

I like how the article says "went on to become one of the biggest stars in WWE history" as if it's not all scripted.

And movies and tv are all scripted too. Do those not have stars as well? It's about performance and generating fan appeal. Some can do it better despite acting from a script than others. That is what separates stars from the normal actors.

obviously title wins and stuff like that are scripted, but if he didn't attain popularity with the fans -- something you can't really script -- he never would have become a main character.

true, the discrepancy is that movies don't claim to be real 😛

A hero of mine growing up! Loved this guy and sorry to see him gone:

“Every man’s heart one day beats a final beat. His lungs breathe their final breath. And if what that man did in his life makes the blood pulse through the body of others; it makes them believe deeper in something larger than life; than his essence, his spirit will be immortalized.”

Actors become stars in Hollywood and those are all scripted, too. :whiste:

Love it when douche nozzles who think they are cool by shitting on pro wrestling get slapped right in the mouth with facts.
