Finally feeling healthy again so I will be hitting the weights after work, then beers with friends. Tomorrow I am taking my Mom out for dinner in the evening, with some laundry, housecleaning, and TF2/LOTRO during the day (assuming I don't come into the office). Sunday I will go for a run with my running group, then meet some friends for lunch, then grocery shop, relax, and maybe try out Friday Night Lights (wife just bought the DVDs).

I am going to a Harvest Festival where a friend's band is playing. The name of their band is Jumbo Shrimp. I love that name.

I'll be watching my Cubs blow an easy road to the playoffs. Well, actually, I think I'll be watching the Brewers will blow it worse and the Cubs take the division by default! If the Cardinals can be World Series champs on just 83 wins... ;)

Tonight: Work until 9...
Tomorrow: Drive 100 miles to watch rally car racing (think WRC without the foreign accents)
Sunday: mow the lawn, groceries, maybe run over to Home Depot for some flooring. Maybe over to Bed Bath & Beyond if we have time. Maybe not, not sure if we'll have the time.

I have to ring the access holes to the attic with some 2 by 12s so when they add more insulation in a couple weeks it can go right up to them and also make some access doors out of plywood so they can staple some insulation to them.

Clean up the Z28 and take some pics. I'm seriously thinking of selling.

I probably won't get around to starting on the shelves for the bedroom, but that would be nice.

Nothing. It will be my first weekend in about a month since I've had nothing scheduled or wasn't freaking out over something I thought was scheduled (keep your appointment cards...). Might take bike out, but it's getting cold. That or go to the Audio/Video store and check out their annual sale.

Hey, it's cool, I found some new ones. I measured the distance from the house and it's all good - the judge didn't take these bad boys into account! He can't keep us apart

- Preparing an informative speech on the Mars Exploration Rovers, to be delivered to an audience whose most indepth knowledge of Mars is that it is red.:( Speech is on Tuesday. I like the content, but the problem is going to be 1) explaining where Mars is, 2) why getting there is difficult, 3) what the rovers are doing, 4) why pure science is important - all in a 7 minute speech. On the plus side, my speaking speed for speeches, once I've slowed it down to what I perceive to be a rather slow speed of about 180 words per minute (recommended speech speed is 120-150 WPM according to the textbook), I can cram a lot of detail into a short period.

- Homework for my advanced strength of materials class, in preparation for a test on Thursday

- Homework for thermodynamics - test Thursday

- Brush-up on some basics for an electronics intro test on Wednesday.

I do kind of miss having a full time job, when weekends were a chance to get away from work.
