But got a replacement from outpost.com in 2 days. Maxtor retail 200GB/ 1 year warranty/ 60 bucks shipped. This WD was on my old rig. Poeple say Max are bad, but I used to have a 30 Max Blast lasted for like 2+ years before I sold it off. Just hope this new one will last like 2 years, that's all I ask for.

But my oldie WD 60 is really good, quiet, not too fast but ever so reliable. paid a ton for it back then. Love it to this day. Will miss it forever ... RIP my old friend, may heaven rest your soul ... Amen ...
 
How long did you have the WD?

I like my Maxtor's. Seems like both brands are good, sometimes bad batches are sent with any company.
