RIP Gene Hackman

"The utility tested the gas lines in and around the home after the bodies were discovered, according to the warrant. At the time, it didn’t find any signs of problems. A detective noted that people exposed to gas leaks or carbon monoxide may not show signs of poisoning, but also noted there were no obvious signs of a gas leak."

It sounds like they decided to go out together honestly.

RIP Gene, Betsy and pup. One of my favorite actors of all time, guy was a mountain. A good long run while at top of his game, and a retirement most of us would dream to have I'll wager.

We'll miss you Gene.

For my generation, my intro to Gene was The Replacements lmao. Followed quickly by The Quick and The Dead (when I was mature enough).

I absolutely loved him in everything.

I'll have to try out some others but I was super impressed with his bad sheriff in Unforgiven. How could that have been done better?

Can't actually remember what was the first thing I saw him in. Popeye Doyle in the French Connection is what most comes to mind. And the sequel (which I think I saw before the original).

That was his finest performance as far as I'm concerned. Both of those were great movies, and he was great in them.

Though also remember his Lex Luthor (which might actually have been the first thing I saw him in). And Unforgiven.

He was always great to watch, even in run-of-the-mill movies that I can't remember the names of now (that one where he was a cop escorting someone on a train? the one where he was some sort of conspiracy theorist helping Will Smith?)

Yeah I heard about this, sad situation, and a bit suspicious too. Anyway RIP.

I loved Hackman in Uncommon Valor, Behind Enemy Lines, Enemy of the State, and Royal Tenenbaums.

Fantastic actor!

Early 90s, my dude.
