RIP: Fish

Well our new kittens pushed a door open and found the fish finally... This is a Beta that we have had since before we were married, so its about 2.5 years old, lived in a medium sized bowl by himself for all that time.... I thought it was going to live forever.... but a curious kitten sealed its fate...

RIP Fish that we never named beyond Fish....

another reason why cats suck.

edit: betas are freakin supernatural. we had one that a friend had given our children, and he lived for 3 years with minimal, and i mean barely more than none, care.

2.5 years, he already had one fin in the grave.

Considering their natural habitats (living in muddy rice paddies) it's pretty easy to see why they are so durable.

My cat is always trying to get one of my roomies two betas. Had to put a cover on the bowl and put something to weight it down. She likes to kill things 🙂
