The new gen WRX really does feel a lot more grown-up than the older econobox-rice versions that preceded it.

I think it is because instead of looking like an econobox with bulges grafted on to it, the new widebody looks more as if it was intended to look that way.

Oh, I don't know... WRX around my area (WI/IL) are selling like hotcakes. Dealers can't keep them in stock.

Right but the STI is what is in danger. The vanilla WRX isn't in any danger though I question how many sales are really occurring. There was a bit of a burst when the new widebody came on the scene but I've yet to see one on the road and I've seen maybe a handful of the 08+'s, they are not selling like the previous years and even with the most recent suspension tweaks are not as fun to drive.

Yeah the FT-86 or whatever, Subaru and Toyota(Scion) are both making a version.

The Subie version will be RWD with a 2.0L normally aspirated 4 banger.

I thought that was the Toyota version, with the Subie being the AWD turbo version?

Give me an '05 WRX or STI anyday over the current models. Don't even get me started on the car they call the 'Legacy' now, it belongs in a Buick line-up.

Weren't they saying just not long ago that they were going to make the Evo into a hybrid and possibly full electric?
