RIP Ararat (feline)

Yesterday we lost Ararat to cardiomyopathy and kidney failure. He was 16 years old. We adopted Ararat and his brother Dumas from a shelter in 2008. They were inseparable until Dumas died from lymphoma in 2013.

Ararat in August, 2016 before end stage renal failure kicked in.

My wife volunteered at a no-kill shelter for a couple years. We made a point of adopting older cats and black cats as they are the least likely to get adopted. Pretty much having be adopted as a pair made them even less likely to find a home, so we took them.
