So if you're working the night shift do you get paid for that vanishing hour when 2am magically becomes 3am? I mean, if your shift was from 12am - 8am is it your fault that one hour was vaporized by the government?

You do. Fiancee worked the night shift for many years, and she did.

Interesting... So if you're renting something by the hour do you have to pay for that missing hour?
