I'm not sure this would work very well. It will only work for people in NYC I would think because CC doesn't pricematch online prices.

They do price match over the phone, the only difference is that you might have to pay shipping. BUT order TDK 48x 50 cds at $19.99 and have them also PM staples @ $9.99 and used CC $10 + $7 MI= $7 less

On the RioVolt SP150: Since I've been shopping around for something like this, I decided to give it a try at my local CC. Bottom line, they gave me a $10.00 "price match" off the retail price. $24.11 AR. Works for me.

Details:
$59.99 - $10.00 (courtesy PM to JR.com) + $4.12 CA Tax - $30.00 MIR (expires today 10/11/03) = $24.11

The lady at the cash register initially told me that they don't PM Internet ads when I gave her a print out of the JR.com price. I told her that JR.com is also a catalog and B&M store. So she asked me if there was one locally. I said I didn't know, but I don't think so. She decided to call someone in the back and spoke to the guy for about 3 minutes. It sounded like the manager would have PM'd it if the price difference wasn't so big. After she hanged up, she told me they couldn't match it because it wasn't a local store ad, and the PM wouldn't take into account the S&H. I asked her if they could PM it to the price after S&H, at which point she gave in and said, "I can give you $10 off the in-store price." She didn't seem to be aware of the $30 rebate.

Not as good as getting it for $10 + tax AR, but I'm happy. Thanks for the post.

Maybe I wasn't as persistent or teary eyed as I should have been, no luck in even a reduction in price, but cashier did say that if I find it for less somewhere in the next 30 days I can bring in the receipt for the difference. Maybe I'll just try going back with the ad and see if I have any luck, but I think CA is a bit of a ways from J&R.

Thanks for the post, was looking for a decent deal on an inexpensive mp3/cd player.

Hey Guys, now J&R has it for $29.99... lets go back to CC with the J&R add and our receits get $10.00 back. (remember they priced matched us at $39.99 and they DO PRICE Adjustments if you find a cheaper price within 30 days)

We actually do NOT PM online prices AT ALL. Nor do we do non-local Price Matching.

Would anyone happened to have save either the Circuit City ad, or online page showing the $30 rebate available on 10/11? Just got my rebate rejected for having worng date, and would like to clear this up. Thanks!
