Riots at Penn State

Paterno was fired. Now, students are rioting in the street in support of Paterno. So let me get this straight, this guy protected a child rapist and they think he is their hero? These young, drunk rioters have no sense or morality.

The college kids are all mad that this hurts Penn State's reputation, when they are rioting, acting drunk on TV, and damaging Penn State's reputation further. Of course they don't even remotely care about that little boy that was raped and psychologically scarred for life.

Someday they will have kids, atleast ones that they are awarded custody of, and will realize how fvcking stupid they are right now.

Fixed.

Not in my experience. They might learn some, and some might even realize, but the majority will remain fucking stupid for their entire lives.

can someone clarify something for me please? I have been following this only what I hear on the radio...

Did Paterno know 'KNOW' about this...in the concrete sense and report the accusation which apparently was swept under the rug and not dealt with by administration?

I.E. he has someone tell him I saw x to y to z in the shower...with nothing but the words to go on...

he reports it and nothing gets done and action y continues on and on and on?

If that is the case I would see the blame going to the administration which I think has happened right? And if the D-coordinator hasn't been charged / convicted then he better be in protective custody because he is a marked man...

If the above is valid I still would hold Paterno accountable...people were violated in horrible ways by that monster...

That is a terrible situation for the victims and also Paterno...

The guy has only known one life...and for that to be pushed on him I would guess he made a choice...blow the whole thing up after no one was doing anything...ruin his career...his legacy...

OR

Do the right thing and blow the doors off the whole thing and try to come out of it in one piece.

he chose to ignore it from what it sounds like and now has remorse that it came back to bite him in the ass...

Either way the guys in administration had no balls and are as guilty as the guy who did it in my opinion and should get the same punishment since it continued under their watch in their school...

I'll leave this here too...

Rioting over the firing of a senile coach, but not the alleged disgusting abuse that occurred on campus? Glad their priorities are in order, but then again, I would expect nothing less from Penn Staters.

Paterno and every single person who had any knowledge whatsoever about what went on needs to lose their job immediately.

Of course, that's what you can expect from these college rioters. Their idea of a long term goal is "hey guys, let's get wasted this weekend herp derp!"

i hear the boy had it coming ...
