Quick question:

Thinking of asking santa for a new MP3 player for running is this a good player for running

it's hd based.

I wouldn't do any running with any hd based mp3 player.

Get a flash memory mp3 player ;)

Uh.. you can run fine with a HD based player.. it caches the song BEFORE it plays it... It isnt always reading the data......

That's not my point. There are moving parts inside the mp3 player that's worrysome.
If you're constantly shaking it, something is bound to go wrong.

Well, if anything goes wrong then, ill blame Apple for all those commercials where they show people shaking thier iPods like they were having seizures.... :)

hrmmm....now I wonder where a pallet of 250 MP3 players could be hiding that they would have to spend a week looking for it... :)

Same thing happened to me.

I ordered on November 29th. On December 2nd I was sent e-mail that they were still looking for my order in the warehouse. Then came December 4th, so I cancelled my order. Not 15 minutes later I was then sent an e-mail with a tracking number. I checked my tracking number and it said my order was shipped on December 1st. I finally received my order on the 5th.

Funny thing is that I used the $15 off of $200 coupon and it was taken off since I cancelled my order. Now, I am trying to get a $15 credit. Hopefully Buy.com doesn't do this all of the time.

Has anyone received an e-mail concerning their shipment yet? It's been a week and a half, I might just end up cancelling...

not yet for me...I was planning to give this as an Xmas gift, but it looks like it won't make it in time...I guess I'll have to give them a call tomorrow to find out if it's even going to be in stock before Xmas...

I received the same email telling me that they were still working on shipping my Rio Nitrus on the 3rd of December. They gave me the option of cancelling the order, which I had no desire to do, and then on the 5th of December, the thing showed up on my door step. No notice that they were shipping it out. Keep the faith, hopefully the same will happen to you.
