Rio 600 backpack alternative?

ECHO

Senior member
I bought my daughter a Rio 600 mp3 player for Christmas and it's pretty cool. However, with only 32MB of storage space it gets a little old having to upload new music all the time. A bigger backpack is definately in order however at $80+ upgrading is going to be a little expensive. Is there an alternative to buying a new Rio 64MB or 128 MB backpack to get more storage? Something like a generic equivaltent?

Thanks

99 bucks buys you the CD version of the rio SP90. You have a whole 700 Mb to play with then. Just a thought 😉

otherwise I am not sure what else will work.

I too have been wondering this 🙂. My dad got me one as part of some deal. Cost like 30 bucks from apple (got a lexmark color printer too 😀). UCLA did upgrades recently (Dual 800MHz G4 anyone? 😛 Oh, and I got my dad's "old" 450 😉).

I wish they would sell some kind of empty adapter for smart media. I've got lots of smart media cards, but 80 bucks for that backpack is way too expencive :|, so I'm going to bump this to try and get an answer 😀.

Adul,
I actually looked at the rio sp90 but really liked the 600 because she was mainly going to use it when she jogs. I know that the sp90 says that it is shock proof but I was a little skeptical...
