I joined in Jan, no real issues. They are enforcing a rule sprint has that states you cannot say buy a moto e that was intended for a Sprint pre pay plan and activate it on ringplus, so if you are on the fence get going. Have the Goya plan, $20 top up 1700 min and 1. 7 g/month. "paid" for the etf from Sprint next month.

I joined too..

$25 initial topup, $0/month

3k minutes, 3k text, 3GB per month. you have to use it though (otherwise it'll be inactive and deleted)

the phone quality isn't that good(I agree, pampered by amr-wb) and might have more latency than usual(don't have this problem, but other people complain)

not bad for a free burner phone line. Helps me get more chipotle coupons via text :D

Freedompop is having a similar deal, I actually have both, pretty comparable services. Same network.

I've been on the VIP Pepper plan for several months now. Yes it is truly free. 250 minutes 500 texts 280 MB. I just have to keep a $5 balance, but the balance hasnt moved in months.

Will any post-paid Sprint phone work (and no prepaid phones)? Are those the only phones that will work on Ring Plus. I'm never really clear of Ring Plus BYOD policy.

I don't have any Sprint-compatible device. I'm interested in trying out Ring Plus, but I'll need to get a phone first.

Sprint is closing up activations of new phones on MVNO's on 4/17. All the info you could want on R+ is here:
http://www.prepaidphonenews.com/2015/10/ringplus-promotions-tracker-current.html
You're better off activating during a flash deal if you can catch one before the deadline. And Bestbuy has some decent deals on compatible phones this week if you need one.

Thanks for the link. Any link to info on what phones exactly are compatible (and that's on Bestbuy deals as you mentioned)?

Phones branded Boost, Virgin Mobile, and Sprint prepaid generally work. Just go down this list:

There are threads on slickdeals.net for the Union, Elevate, Tribute 2, & Moto E. I can't recommend one personally, I just had an old but unopened LG Volt I activated this week and decided to stop there. Activating an unopened phone was dead simple, just sign up for service then turn on the phone.
