RIM Blackberry 7100g free after 2 $125 Rebates from Buy.com

Nice deal! But the email package is $45/mo in addition to the airtime package! How does that compare with other providers? It's hard for me to stomach >$100/mo in cell phone charges.

Verizon-Vodafon 3G ED-VO with almost 450kps is $49 for pocket pc devices, or $79 for PC Card connection to your laptop with UN-limited data access.
This price from Cingular is way toooo much just for e-mail !

They don't..The PPCs have integrated connection; you can also use it as phone. It has Bluetooth, but NO wi-fi.
So far, the connection quality has been excellent as far as a friend's unit shows.
The connection as tested is 450 Kps when the weather is clear. You have slow connection when it is cloudy.

If you get the notebook version, they supply you with a PC Card modem which picks up the broadband data from Verizon's network. That one is $79. I saw a home router with PC Card slot. You can route the PC Card modem connection to wi-fi. At mobile planet it was around $350.

But alternatively, you can connect your PC or laptop through the PPC s Bluetooth to network with the unlimited $49 PPC deal. That saves you $30. Then you don't even need separate home connection

I read the verizon's fine print which tells you that you are not supposed to use this network for media streaming. I doubt that they will enforce this rule, unless the network is clogged.

At the end, there is no better data connection avaliable in the USA than Verizon's broadband. With 450 to 750 Kps actually tested speed, it easly crashes T-mobile or any other carrier. Howeve, it is only broadband in 20 metropolitan areas. You go down to regular 64 Kps when ourside of the bradband coverage. Sprint is also supposed to come up with a similar network by next year. Hopefull, it will create a competetive pricing environment.
