Been meaning to post about this. I saw the movie last Friday afternoon (opening day). Excellent movie and a great story. I felt that some of parts of the movie were "hashed" together so to speak.

Anyone else see the film yet?

The last film De Niro and Pacino were in together was HEAT IIRC.

"Pacino and De Niro. All you need to know." - paraphrase of a line I saw in a commercial for this film. 10-20 years ago, this might have been true. Today....ehhhhhh not so much.

Those 2 are getting a bit old to be acting in "action" roles.

It isn't an action movie, it's a crime drama.

So we shouldn't be expecting to see DeNiro or Pacino chasing down a suspect parkour style?

lulz. I can't even remember either of them ever being in an action movie.

Ronin may be the closest, off the top of my head, but that's more drama than action....

my brother saw it and said he thought it would have been much better. He felt the only real value of the flick was these two in it, but it was just hashed together it seems.

Heat came to my mind immediately but that is almost solely based off the fantastic final shootout scene.

I'll check out the screener b/c I promised myself I'd never pay to see another Curtis Jackson flick.
