right temperature for cpu

i would like to know what temperature is acceptable for an amd cpu. i'm asking because i have a program, speedfan that shows me every time something around 60C an I'm thinking it's somehow hot.

Ha-ha-ha, there are very many Generations and Revisions of CPUs from AMD bearing the Athlon brand. :)

If you can't remember what you bought, use CPU-z to get information such as Model Name, Code Name and Specification.

Is 60C with the CPU under load, or at idle? If the former, it's probably OK; if the latter you should check CPU fan/cooling and Idle processes.

sorry for the misinformation, i bought it few years ago, it is amd sempron 2800+ palermo
