Right-sizing the GPU

I'm helping my nephew build a gaming PC. He's saved up a bit of money doing odd jobs and I'm helping out by contributing my old motherboard, RAM power supply, and case. For the CPU we will get a Phenom II X4 965 3.4GHz. The resolution we're targeting is 680x1050. What is the appropriate nVidia GPU to get with this CPU & resolution? GTX-560?

gtx 460 1gb or gtx560 non ti ,whichever is cheaper.

My GTX 460 1GB (oc'd fairly well) with an X4 955 and playing at 1680x1050 is doing nicely with Skyrim. I play at Ultra with shadows dropped down to "high". Out in the world its smooth as glass. Gets a little choppy at times in some city areas, but that happens to almost everyone regardless of how powerful their rig is.

What's his budget? If you can swing a GTX 560 Ti it would be a very nice match for the CPU and resolution.
