Hey all, I am moving into a new house and the bedroom I am occupying is somewhat low on space. My plan was to sell my 27' tube and get an LCD to save space. Would a 26' LCD be adequate for a small bedroom, and if so what would be the best TV for the cheapest price (if you have a reccomendation off the top of your head, brand would be nice). Thanks!

Wow a 27 foot tube TV, that sucker must take up alot of space!!

seriously though,

A 32" LCD is going to be similar in size to a 27" Tube TV as far as viewing size goes and unless you intend to use it as a PC monitor 720p is the way to go. If you want cheapest, Vizio is a good company, and so is Philips. Sceptre and Insignia are way to bargain basement to consider IMO. If you have a Costco membership I recommend going there and seeing what 32" they have (probably Vizio and nicer brands) and seeing which fits you best. This way you have 90 days return and 2 year warranty.

That Vizio is a nice solid budget choice IMO. I don't know much about the AOC or Envision sets aside from the fact that I waste alot of time wandering AVSforum and whatnot and have never heard anyone talking about how much they like theirs, which I hear plenty of for Vizio.

Great, thanks! I'll be checking out the Vizio models next time I'm wandering about Costco buying tires, a persian rug, a play set, a shed, a toaster, a sushi boat, and a go-kart (they really do have everything under the sun in there)

If you want to get a good price you could always check a few deal hunting sites and wait for a good deal in the 32-37" range come along. I've seen some 37" sets occasionally dip to the level of that 32" Vizio. Or you could wait until a 32" drops below $500 like I did.

Don't forget your spice rack, a new closet design, some motor oil and 5 pounds of cookie dough
