right clicking on a minimized program in taskbar doesn't bring up the menu for it...

you know how when you have something minimized in the taskbar, right clicking on it shoudld bring up the menu to minimize, maximize, restore, close and all that...it's not doing that for me anymore...wtf? it just makes the programs icon in the taskbar blink, and doesn't even bring it to focus on the screen...
 
does right clicking other menus work? such as getting to display settings on the desktop?
 
yeah, it works for my desktop....just not on the taskbar....it's like there's an option that got set wrong at some point, I don't know how to set it back to normal now 🙁
 
I think you are OK. When a program is on the task bar, a right click pops up a small menu that has a few choices, like, Restore, Minimize, Close. Some are grayed out. These commands only pertain to things you can do with that particular menu. What you describe is normal. If it doesn't do that, something is broken, and you might have to change your desktop. Try it with a different theme or layout.
