I'm on svcompucycle.com and I'm right about to order some round cables and this fan. They don't seem to have the Delta fan that seems to be the standard that everyone gets as part of the package. So which fan that they have should I get with this heatsink? Sorry I'm new at this. :) Also I read on a review of this heatsink that I should opt for a 3-pin to 4-pin converter because the heatsink draws a lot of energy from the motherboard. Should I? Thanks again guys.

32.5 CFM SVC 4-pin
32.5 CFM Crystal Clear 3-pin

get a variable speed fan
that way you can play with different noise/cfm ratios

Get the 84.1CFM Vantec (Sunon) Tornado Fan. It is listed under the 80 x 38 mm fans.
I ordered one and should be getting it later this week. I am currently using a thermal
controlled variable speed fan and it never gets over 3000rpm until the temps reach
almost 50C. If you are looking for maximum cooling get the Vantec or Delta.
You can also get an adjustable Fan Speed Controller for $6 to $9 to go with it.
This is also available at SVC.

I think soulkeeper was referring to fans that can be manually adjusted for rpm/cfm/dba levels. Not the fans that use temperature sensors to control themselves. The fans that can be manually adjusted seem to be good choices, I'd probably get one like that.

Yea I considered one those variable speed fans but I couldn't find one that put out more than 52CFM at
the highest setting. If the Vantec is to loud I'll invest in the adjustable fan speed controller. I doubt it
will bother me since my air conditioner and room fan will probably drown it out. I currently have 4 case
fans, 1 heatsink fan, 2 power supply fans and I can't hear any of them. ;)

i really like the manually adjustable enermax 80mm fan

i use that fan on a thermalright ax7... turned up all the way my idle temps are 37c and under full load it hits the mid 40's (but in all honesty the ambient temp in the room is nice and cool :) )
