not to mention.. how much would a damn opteron rig cost built and shipped? how many company send one of its guys to go on newegg and buy a bunch of parts so he can assemble it? tech support?

at $4k, it's a bargain for its purposes. i remember a couple of years back a dual/quad pentiumPro can cost up to $8k or so.
