That outer ring is in Kmph not mph, the inner ring reads mph, Still he tops out ~130mph which is over 200kmph

Naa that outer ring is mph...you are seeing the kmh blocked by the needle that is indicating the inner ring.

That is a Hayabusa in the states, the main ring denotes mph...not to mention no one with a hayabusa would EVER put video on the net of them only doing 130. Especially when they do 190 without a turbocharger.

If you look closely, you can see that the inner numbers hit 3 digits when the outer ones hit ~60. Thus, the inner numbers are km/h and the outer numbers are mph.

The resolution is awful, but it looked the other way to me, the inner ring reading 60 to 100 on the outer, but my vision sux, so I may be wrong.

If you pause it around 1:24 when it's got a bit of light on the speedo, you can see it pretty well I think. Look at the inner numbers around 0 and compare them to the inner numbers when the outer reads 70...

Man, that's pretty insane.

I don't think it sounds like garbage. It's got lots of grunt while idling, yeah.. but other than that, it's fine.

My dad built drag racing cars when he was my age, he said at the strip, there was some guy who had a motorcycle that he had balanced a corvette engine (didn't say which one) on. I guess he'd point it down the strip, rev it up, and kick the kickstand out and go.

The general concensous of the guys at the strip were that the dude on the motorcycle was insane :D

Love the sound of the turbo - hate the exhaust note. Why would somebody take the muffler off and route the exhaust through a 6" tube? It sounds like crap.

The less exhaust, the less backpressure and the faster the turbo spins up. The turbo is just making a whoosh, the loud sound you hear is the blow off valve opening up and releasing the pressure in the intake when he closes the throttle valve to shift.
I know what a blow-off valve is, thankyouverymuch - notice I had the "ttsssss" sound between gear changes. The exhaust note still sounds like crap.

What is impressive is the acceleration well above 100 mph
I have to agree that the sound sucks, but again at speed, you cant hear it at all. Wonder what you hear if it passed you at full throttle, besides the huge Doppler shift? :)
