Look at the rally simulator one. The base of the machine jumps when he crashes. Looks like he needs to bolt that thing down!

they can probably simulate that using horizontal motion. The major challenge would be simulating along turn for example, that requires consistent force, without pausing the action so that the seat can return to initial positions to move in another direction etc...
