think how stupid you look to someone when you tell them you have an aftermarket CPU cooler, GPU cooler, heatsinks on ram, LED in case, ETC.
if i weren't into computers i'd call you pathetic and a loser.
now relate this to people tho like to modify cars
What the CL poster has done is equivalent to mounting a Zalman 9900 on a 486 DX/2 running at 66MHz.
This is a modified car.
This is a piece of junk.

opinions with no clear line drawn. what if i had a pentium D with LN2 on it clocked at 8ghz?
so the guy trying to sell is AMD x2 3800 Toledo from 2005 w/ water cooling in it is a big fat loser with a piece of junk...
see the argument? just because some of the AT Garage folk don't like to modify cars, they bash it. how'd u like it if people bashed you for having an overclocked computer with an LED fan in it? wow only losers have LED fans in their computers.
I'd tell them that the LED fan was cheaper and had the same technical specifications as the non-LED fan. There was no functional reason to choose the more expensive fan.
Similarly, the theoretical AMD x2 3800 with water cooling was, at one time, a very fast machine and, if overclocked, can have a legitimate need for water cooling. Again, the modification has functional value. Also, the price for which the computer was being sold would be important too. If he was selling it for $1,500, the seller would deserve to be laughed at. It's not a $1,500 computer anymore.
The Neon was never fast and never handled well. The modifications performed have, at best, severely limited functional value. In the case of the headlights and the wiper, there is, in fact,
negative functional value.
The car is worth, at best, $1,900 by blue book. Asking $3,500 is insane. The car is simply not worth what the CL poster thinks it is.
