Haven't seen this one for a while. Instead of posting the answer, I'll just let you know that the riddle is worded incorrectly, and it cannot be solved the way it's written.

I probably heard too many variations of this. But here.

Some Variations

The one that I first heard was the last one on that page where it was meant to be spoken. So instead of saying "gry" you say "g or y" which is a trick.
