You have been abandoned by your electrician and must finish the wiring of your new house alone.

You courageously try to untangle the labyrinth of wires already laid down. You are particularly worried about three wires of the same color going from basement of the attic. You want to identify them, labeling both the basement and attic ends of one wire A, of another B, and of the last wire C.

Your only tool is a meter that shows if current is passing through a length of wire or not when both ends of the wire are attached to the meter. Thanks to it, you only need to make one round trip between basement and attic to complete the labeling. Explain how would you do it.

hook it to A and B in the attic then in the basement touch wires together untill you get a current flowing.then go to the attic if the current is - then its going from A to B or vice versa then the other wire is C

touch them to your peepee. When it tingles, you found the right one. And you were wearing sunglasses and the beer was flat.

Are these wires live...or by current, do you mean a continuity test?
