Riddle night tonight?

It's second.........you never passed the first place runner.

another one.........

There is a common English word that is nine letters long. Each time you remove a letter from it, it still remains an English word - from nine letters right down to a single letter. What is the original word, and what are the words that it becomes after removing one letter at a time?

Wow :Q

That was good! How did you figure it out? As in did you know it already or you just thought of it?

The next row is:

1113213211

Starting with the second line, every line describes the line before it. In writing, it is:
One One
Two Ones
One Two One One
etc.
etc.

Already knew it from a few weeks ago when we had a riddle contest in English. No one in the class got this one correct.

Cheater 😛

1st - notice the tenses. You passED the person IN second place. The person that is in second right now you already passed.

EDIT: AH nevermind, it's not such a good thought now that I think about it, which is kinda ironic. I see this is dead now too.

EDITED EDIT: Hmm, now that I think about it some more it is a good thought.
