Riddle me this: Faster FSB, or Higher Clock?

Here's the situation. I have 2 ways of doing things on my system (Check out my system below). Is it better to have a higher FSB to push the memory, or a higher clock speed to push the processor? For a quick look at system specs:
- AthlonXP 2400
- 512 MB PC3200 Corsair Platinum
- Thermalright sk7 with a crystal led fan on it
- Asus A7N8X Deluxe with 1003 bios.

max out your fsb until your memory/board can't handle it.
You will see gains from upping the fsb and lowering the cpu multiplier.
If you are running at 166fsb you might as well have bought pc2700.
Also make sure you run the memory in sync with the fsb.

What's the speed difference between the two methods? What's the exact oc spec are you talking about? Usually, it's better to have a faster fsb but if you can push the cpu much higher with a much higher multiplier with a little decrease in fsb, that may be better overall.

Why are you asking? You should be able to do both on your system. If I had to choose, I'd go with clock speed. But why beat this dead horse any longer...do some googling/searching and check out reviews like this: Random review which benchs @higher FSB and higher clock.

should be about 225 with your RAM

Multiplier 10x
Is it ok to run the FSB faster than what the ram is rated for?

yes
its called "overclocking", which is exactly waht you are doing to your cpu as well

faster fsb > faster overall (in most cases)

FSB!!!
Yo children, with my stock sink+6000RPM fan+arctic silver (9 bux for all, and the sink is lightweight) i overclocked my FSB to 200 (for fun. f*** overclocking), and got 1200 increase in cpu mark, and 650 in memory marks! T is 44 for idle, and 52 for load. FSB overcloking is definitely better, cuz it gives juice both to cpu and memory.
