Don't know if this is right or not, but I saw it posted in the Daily Tease email group (www.thedailytease.com). The word is GARBAGE, leaving the answers to be:

My 1,2,3 is an animal, =====> GAR
My 2,3,4,5 is a food, =====> ARBA
My 4,5,6 is a utensil, =====> BAG
My 5,6,7 is the same every year. =====> AGE

ARBA (food) seems the questionable one... I found there is a company Ariba, with the stock symbol of ARBA, which does some work with food &amp; beverage manufacturing. Seems like a long shot!

x+y=3/2

but the half crab weighs half as much again as the whole crab:
y=3x/2
==> x+3x/2=3/2 or x=3/5

what do half the whole crab and the whole of the half crab weigh?

all of the half crab:
