Ricky Williams tests positive for marijuana............again.

Who cares about Ricky Williams. He clearly doesn't want to comply with the NFL drug policy, which is fine really.

I mainly posted this because of it's humor factor. Williams was at one time one of the premier backs in the league, now he's a has-been. Arguements for marjiuana use aside, I think it's ridiculous for his career to have been ruined just by using it, both on the side of NFL and of Williams. The NFL is too strict for marijuana use IMO, but on the other hand, Williams needs to grow up and play by the rules for the job he wants.

Yeh, like the dolphins will ever get him back.

I do smoke weed regularly, but for the money he gets paid, i would stop on a dime. or atleast paid somebody to hide it!

Whatever.

Btw did the dolphins take a running back in the draft?

This is unbelievable to hear that such a talented player would throw away his career and future financial security for so little in return.

people demonize this guy for nothing.
i havent heard any Ricki Williams children out of wedlock stories.
i havent heard of him beating his wife.

The ones who deserve to deamonize him are the dolphins who have counted on him to fulfill his promises and obligations to the team.

The ones who deserve to call him a ****** moron are basically everyone.

STOP SMOKING WEED!

How ****** hard is it? If you're getting paid millions of dollars and the rules say DO NOT SMOKE WEED... not to mention that they do DRUG TESTING. How ****** stupid can you be?

He applied for reinstatement, and played in the cfl for a year to prepare to play in the nfl again. Clearly he does want it, but doesn't want the sacrifice required to achieve it.

yes, they drafted lorenzo booker from FSU.

as far as ricky goes, i just don't get it. he's been clean for nearly a year and right as he nears the finish line of getting reinstated this happens. i feel sorry for the guy.

I don't think anyone is demonizing him...I think people are just calling him stupid. Yes he loves pot, a lot of people do but when you are going to get paid over 10 million dollars to play a game involving getting a piece of pig skin from one side of a field to another....well you ****** listen to the rules, and do what you are being paid to do. Especially after getting caught so many times I would think he would learn to just keep off the stuff for a while...apparently not.

people make choices. he made his.
iirc the dolphins wont have to pay him so..meh.
maybe he doesnt want his body wrecked, maybe hes had another change of heart.
if i saw him in real life, i'll shake his hand.

Exactly. Wait until after your contract expires and you've got the fifty million or so in cash and endorsement deals.

THEN spark that thing up, and don't hog it.

Maybe he doesn't really care about making more money. Supposedly some people aren't happy with more money - I'm not one of them though 😛

Then thats his perogative. In my opinion pot is fun and a fine drug to use, but picking it over a career, enough money to live the rest of your life after working a few years, and everything else that goes with an NFL career seems kinda sad to me. I mean he could play football for a few years, make millions, then smoke all the stuff he wants.
