Rick Perry "Strong"

Playing to the "Conservative" base. Governor Perry's appeal to ignorance is a desperate attempt to regain some traction in the Republican contests.

I love it. It's so ridiculously, hilariously ignorant. Daily Show/Colbert is gonna have a field day with this one. 😀

This, right here, is basically why I'm not a Republican. I know not all Republicans are like this, but when things get serious, this is how Republican politicians tend to try to appeal to their "base"...and there's a reason for that.

And I know, politics is a dirty game and Democrats aren't perfect either. But can anyone really imagine Obama appearing in the opposite commercial, viciously trashing, say, evangelical Christians as "what's wrong with this country" set to positive, hopeful background music that somehow makes the whole thing even worse?

Whats a that old candy bar commercial, "sometimes you feel like a nut and sometimes you don't."

At least the candy bar sponsor had a non-nutty alternative also covered in sweet chocolate, Perry is simply a nut and nothing but.

But the people of Texas keep electing Perry, but they don't have to eat any of his bullshit, because the GOV of Texas is a powerless figure head.

Not only is Rick Perry an idiot but I think he's way out of touch... Republicans love the gays these days, probably because they watch Glee

If Perry could just keep his mouth shut, he'd be Repubs' dream candidate- strong & stupid. But he can't, which makes him tooo stupid.

His ads should take a cue from Arnold's early role in Conan the Barbarian- just have him stand there, tough & handsome, staring off into the distance against a panoramic background, stirring music all the while. He could wear his jogging outfit w/ sidearm. It'd be perfect.

The red meat target for Democrats is the rich, not the religious. And agreed, this is a pretty sad pitch, but obviously there's a niche market for it out there. Rick Perry is a 'tard, and this is just more evidence of that fact - that he'll bring along a handful of fellow 'tard voters with him is of no consequence.

I just used religious people as an example. But I still can't imagine Obama saying rich people having money is "what's wrong with America".
