More sensationalism and alarm from the right,...

http://thehill.com/policy/defense/215761-pentagon-no-evidence-of-isis-at-southern-border

The Defense Department on Friday pushed back against Texas Gov. Rick Perry’s (R) claim that fighters from the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) might have entered the United States across its southern border.

Perry, who is weighing another run for the president in 2016, made the assertion Thursday during a speech at the conservative Heritage Foundation.

"There's the obvious great concern that, because of the condition of the border from the standpoint of it not being secure, and us not knowing who is penetrating across, that individuals from ISIS or other terrorist states could be [crossing]," he said. "There's a very real possibility that they may have already used that [strategy]."

But the Pentagon’s top spokesman, Rear Adm. John Kirby, shot down that allegation.

“I've seen no indication that they are coming across the border with Mexico. We have no information that leads us to believe that,” he said on CNN’s "New Day."

Ebola,.. terrorists,... what's next, NYC Sewer Alligators?

But, I'm from NY,.. why would I leave and come back via the southern border??

Reagan said the Sandinistas where going to come up through Mexico to invade the US.

Two months after the revolution, the Sandinista leadership met in secret and, in what came to be known as the ``72-hour Document,'' described themselves as the vanguard of a revolution that would sweep Central America, Latin America, and finally, the world. Their true enemy, they declared: the United States. Rather than make this document public, they followed the advice of Fidel Castro, who told them to put on a facade of democracy.

I'd be worried more things like this might sneak across the border.

Cleveland is at it again. What a steaming pile of a thread.

This is nothing but a personal attack with an obscene reference and nothing contributory. Not acceptable.

Fear mongering, tough on crime, small government, WMD's, same old tactics people fall for. Just read Hitler's how to book, it is all in there.

Its true!
They are coming up, ISIS that is, and dressing in Halloween costumes.
And, and, and, on trick r treats night they plan to go door to door asking for candy.
Just as you turn away to get some M&M's for the trickster, SLASH, off comes your head.
So remember, on the last day of October, shoot first. Ask questions later.
That little fairy princess could be the deadliest threat out there.
Sincerely,
Rick Perry

This from the same pentagon and CIA who were caught completely off guard by ISIS.

I have zero doubt that the southern border could be exploited by anyone or any group.

So who will the OP, and all the other Obama felatiers, blame if by some chance some ISIS (or ISIS wannabes) slip across a border that (anyone with two functioning neurons knows) is not secure and does a suicide bomb in some shopping mall?

Anyone who has any shred of confidence in our current admin is a moron, plain and simple.

That doesn't mean I'm obsessing about it, living my life in fear, or any of the other idiot things that the usual libertrols on here claim, about those that disagree with them, to bolster their claims of evolutionary superiority.

Please find a better way to express yourself. Consider this your one warning.

Rick Perry should hold a prayer rally to pray away ISIS just like he did when Texas was burning.

Well technically he's absolutely right.

They could be doing so and there's a real possibility that they've already done so, but the odds are low and the possibility minute.

:awe:

...well, what would stop them, seriously? What security measures are in place at the border to prevent an incursion like this?

There is nothing superior about not being defective.

:colbert:

edit: ironic how I misspelled defective,...

And yet again, you step into your own pile... :)

Part of being a grownup is to think ahead and consider what could go wrong and determine if the risk deems mitigation. It doesn't mean you're fear mongering, it just means you're thinking. The risk may indeed be quite low, but to deny that there is no risk is abjectly stupid.

Just tonight on Hannity, he (Hannity) repeated the Perry scare again...

For something that is based on "might" and "may have" and "is entering", they sure can't stop talking about it, as if it is actually happening.

Then again, we are talking about false alarms blaring here.
